Agreement
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the LockDay app and the lockday.xyz website (together, the “Service”). By downloading or using LockDay, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
If you got LockDay from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If the two conflict on a matter Apple’s agreement covers, Apple’s agreement controls.
The Service
LockDay helps you organize tasks, calendar events and notes and shows them on your Lock Screen and in widgets. We keep improving LockDay, so features may be added, changed or removed over time.
Paid features and subscriptions
- Purchases. Some features may require a subscription or a one-time purchase. Prices and what’s included are shown in the app before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- Automatic renewal. A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Free trials. If a free trial is offered, you won’t be charged if you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Any unused part of a trial ends when you buy a subscription.
- Managing and cancelling. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings on your device.
- Refunds. Purchases are processed by Apple, and refund requests are handled by Apple under its policies at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- When access ends. If a subscription ends, the features it includes stop being available. Your content stays yours.
Your content
You own the content you create in LockDay. We don’t claim any rights to it, and as our Privacy Policy explains, we don’t receive it. You’re responsible for your content and for keeping copies of anything important. Content stored only on a device can be lost if you delete the app or lose the device.
Apple features and your device
LockDay works with features provided by Apple, such as Calendar, iCloud, Shortcuts, widgets and notifications. Apple controls how these features work and may change them, and iOS may delay or skip automations or notifications in some situations.
Acceptable use
Please don’t misuse the Service. For example, don’t use it to break the law or infringe anyone’s rights, and don’t copy, modify, reverse engineer or interfere with the app except where the law allows it.
Intellectual property
LockDay, its logo, characters, designs and software belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. These Terms don’t give you any right to use them other than to use the Service.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that reminders and Lock Screen updates will always happen on time. Don’t rely on LockDay for critical or emergency reminders.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we won’t be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for LockDay in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.
Ending these Terms
You can stop using LockDay at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms. The sections on your content, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law continue to apply after these Terms end.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We’ll change the date at the top and, for significant changes, let you know in the app. If you keep using LockDay after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits the rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the country where you live.
